Killer Whale Nature Tours

Departing at 9:30 a.m. and returning at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Killer Whale Nature Tour highlights the very best of Northern Vancouver Island and the Broughton Archipelago.

All aspects of the Marine Environment are explored. We search for Resident Killer Whales, visit Sea Haul outs, look for Humpback Whales, Harbour and Dahls Porpoises, Stellar Sea Lions, Bald Eagles, Dolphins, Minke Whales, River Otters, Black Bears, Transient Killer Whales and a multitude of other creatures that make their homes in the North Island environment.

We have a picnic lunch in one of several locations, if geographically feasible, giving us the opportunity to explore and stretch our legs. We never know what we’ll see on any given day, but one thing is for sure, every day is spectacular and unique!

Charter the Zodiac and guide to pursue your own interests, or book a private marine tour. Rates are affordable, competitive, and provide the client with the opportunity to enjoy the quiet serenity of nature at one’s own pace, with the undivided attention of a marine professional.

Photography Charters

Photographers have different needs. Morning and evening departures assure the right light for capturing your shots. Your guide takes pride in her ability to provide natural shots with no disturbance to the wildlife. It’s extremely important to leave the animals the way we found them.

Evening Trips

Join us for a little marine tour.  The evening hours provide enchanting light, and solitude on the water.  Visit Alert Bay, Sointula or Telegraph cove for dinner and a tour, arriving by boat!

Camping Trips

Charter the boat overnight and explore the coast with your guide!  We visit Cape Scott, the Brooks Peninsula, and countless more remote spots inaccessible to most people. Customize your trip, or call O.R.C.A. Ltd. and have us do it for you!

Every option is available with a Camping Trip.  You can go guided or unguided.  Be outfitted with gear, or bring your own.  The sky is the limit, just dream up your ideal trip, and we can do it!
